An undisclosed source revealed this morning that Billy Name, right-hand man of Warhol and the man behind The Factory’s silvery magic, has found my description of him as a whiskey-swilling warlock his “best review yet. (signed) Billy Name, Warlock”
I did not mention in the quoted article—about my dear friend Jim Lyons, and more broadly the passing of youth, beauty and life–what a lovely sense of empathy (and humor!) Name appears to have. So I stand on record here.
The piece will hit the stands tomorrow in Out Magazine.
Below, Billy and Jim, who played Billy in Mary Harron’s I Shot Andy Warhol.
