As the kids at home may recall, the premise of this trip was to cover 6000 km within Spain and Portugal in sixteen days. This meant an extreme amount of driving, even for the cruise-happy Euro explorers we’ve become. Here are some photographs of the Cadiz Province, and the town of Grazalema where we stopped for lunch. Though it is known as the ruta de los pueblos blanchos, it became clear to us it might also be called the ruta de los cookies.
Here also is a short film shot near Zahara de la Sierra and a fandango-Oi Cantar a un Jilguero-by Nina de la Puebla & Manolo de Badajoz. She says, “I heard a finch sing and it consoled me.” The menfolk concur.
