~snarfing parte due: la pescheria~

October 15th, 2007

The fish market by Rialto is also farmer’s market that puts all in New York to shame. The current structure was built in 1917 (dig that frowning column topper), but fish have been sold here for 600 years. This was two streets from our apartment in San Polo. Every morning I walked out and immediately wanted to cook. Here I had my first European wild strawberries.

I’m randomly selecting this blog entry to let you know how much I enjoy this site. You are an excellent writer and I enjoy hearing your point of view. I’m sorry to hear about your back and I hope you are in good health again. I think sometimes we need to walk through hot coals to see the beauty of the world from the other side. It sounds like you’re an inordinate optimist as well. I look forward to reading more about your travels.
