img_1088 Lucca is a town known for eats, and as the birth place of Puccini (of La bohème and Madama Butterfly fame), but the lost grandeur seen in the Belle Epoque signage (particularly on Via Fillungo) is what caught my eye.

    everything could use some fresh paint and wine bottles draped in strawish containments that are of no use but to function as markup-justifying decoration should be verboten. god i can’t stand those oily hardened-wheat-flower-chompers.
